Akashima's Kochi Ken Reiko Go
Reiko is our first Shikoku. She was born on March 14, 2018.
Even back then, we were very impressed with the Akashima breeding program and contacted them early on when our circumstances for a Shikoku were right. Fate connected us with Reiko, a lovely little girl. She was reserved but couldn't be adopted at the time. After submitting the request, we expected the usual waiting period of one to two years. Reiko came from Canada to Amsterdam. The World Dog Show was taking place there at the time. It was an experience that had a profound impact on us.

Reiko left our breeding program on November 15, 2023, with tragic consequences. Due to a closed pyrometra (uterine infection), she had to undergo emergency spaying. Her condition was very critical...
She is the proud mother of two litters with a total of 10 puppies (see Litter A and Litter B). Some of her puppies will continue her legacy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to keep one of her daughters and continue her as a maternal line, but at least Reiko is still with us.
